1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp fine salt
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 stick (8 tbsp) unsalted butter
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
Brown the butter in a saucepan on the stove. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, add flour, baking soda, salt, and cornstarch. Whisk to mix.
In another separate medium mixing bowl, add white sugar and brown sugar. Whisk to mix.
Add brown butter into the sugar. Whisk well until smooth.
Add eggs and vanilla extract to sugar/butter mixture. Whisk until eggs are completely incorporated.
Add the wet ingredients into your dry ingredients large mixing bowl. Mix with a spatula until there's no dry flour. Add chocolate and fold it in with spatula. Note: If the cookie dough seems too sticky or wet, chill in fridge until firmer for about 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop dough into ~2-3 tbsp sized balls leaving at least 2" spacing around each ball for spreading.
Bake at 350F for 12 min until edges are golden brown. Let cool for at least 10 minutes. Enjoy!
