I started swumade in December 2024 as a personal challenge: to make something every day for 50 days. Creativity has always been a part of who I am—whether it's drawing, painting, crafting, or baking—but somewhere along the way, life slipped into routine. Wake up, work out, work, make dinner, sleep. Repeat.
When I did have free time, I found myself mindlessly scrolling—losing hours to the endless feed and feeling drained instead of inspired. I started telling myself I didn’t have time to create, when in reality, I wasn’t making space for it.
swumade became my reminder to make space, experiment, and keep playing. I’m not the best painter or baker, and that’s okay. What matters is showing up, making something, and learning a little more every day.
My hope is that sharing my story encourages others to carve out time for the things that spark joy—whether it’s five minutes or an hour. Just start. Make something and see where it takes you.
